REQUIREMENTS
Players must agree to meet these Requirements to have their applications considered, and must continue to meet them to maintain their position in the Group.
1) 75% or Higher Attendance;
Players must maintain an ongoing attendance rate of 75% or higher. Attendance means signing up for Raids, and being online at the Raid start whether or not they are confirmed as being in that Raid.
2) Present for the duration of the Raid;
Players must be available at the start of the Raid, and should stay until the appointed finish time (see Operations).
3) Players must regularly (at least every two or three days) read the Thorns of Gold Raiding forum on the TOG site. This should be checked before Raids for any important announcements. Players should get involved in strategic discussions, or any requests for information, etc.
4) Players should have Ventrilo and Teamspeak installed. Microphones are not mandatory, but are preferred.
5) Players will be willing to install any AddOn that the GroupLeaders declare as Mandatory.
6) Players must not get Raid IDs for the content that is officially (i.e. pre-planned) being tackled by the Group. Players must not 'use' their group-obtained Raid IDs outside of the Group Raids without permission from the Group Leaders.
7) Players must meet all these requirements, attempt to deliver on the expectations, and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXPECTATIONS : This describes what is expected of players.
Failure to deliver on these expectations may result on players being replaced.
1) Players must accept the Group Leaders decisions. Rational discussion is welcomed on points that you do not agree with, or areas that you think could be improved upon; extensive discussion should take place outside of Raid time.
2) Players must be good 'team players'. In all decisions, the Group Leaders will be trying to focus on the objectives, and we expect our players to do the same. We must work as a team. Help your team mates improve so that the Group objectives can be met.
3) Players should be continually trying to improve their contribution to the effort as best as they can, and assist others in improving their abilitiy to contribute.
4) Players not rostered into a specific raids are encouraged to be online and available and maintain communication for the duration of the Raid.
5) Players are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, information, strategies; anything that may help the group reach their objectives.
6) Players should be committed to a long term Raiding effort, and be 'professional' about their approach to the group. If we are working on an encounter that means you sit out for a few Raids, then accept that. If you've not been in a Raiding Group learning an encounter before, then be prepared to wipe lots and walk away with nothing but a repair bill on many occasions. The harder the encounter, the sweeter the taste of success when it comes.
7) Players are expected to spend time outside of the schedule Raids preparing; making sure you have consumables, helping others get their consumables, earning money to pay for repair bills, etc. Players are expected to be able to spend at least a few hours each week outside of Raid times with their characters, indirectly working towards the short and long term objectives of the Group.
8) Players are expected to be able to take constructive criticism.
9) Players are expected to respec their characters' talents if required.
This may happen more than once.
CODE of CONDUCT
Players who violate this Code of Conduct risk removal from the Group.
1) Never be abusive or insulting to other players.
2) Don't be selfish. This is a group effort.
3) Don't whine about loot - whether it drops for someone else or never drops at all... when we stop going to the instance that contains the last piece of your set.... we don't care. We are here to kill bosses, not collect loot - we only do that because it helps us kill bosses.
4) Maintain a positive attitude about the Group, we don't want to hear you whining when we have a bad night or make no progress for a while.
5) Don't get a superior attitude over anyone not in this Group. Don't brag about your achievements.
6) Work out any problems/issues you have with other group members by yourself; don't expect Raid Leaders to sort it out. Problems you have should not become group problems. Luckily, you're an adult, so this should be easy for you.
